The heart behind the work

Meet Rachael

Rachael Rogers
A mama, a healer, your guide

Hi, I am Rachael Rogers

A mama to two wild-hearted boys, certified postnatal fitness specialist, and founder of North Wind Wellness.

I spent 18 years connected to the world of women through the salon, starting as a shampoo girl at 15 and spending the better part of two decades standing behind a chair listening to the things women carry. Alongside that I spent years inside health and wellness communities, discovering what real personal development and sisterhood felt like, and learning how much women light up when they feel truly supported.

That thread has never changed. It just found a deeper home in this work.

I spent years learning how women carry invisible weight. I learned that most women are not lazy. They are exhausted, disconnected, and last on their own list.

Where it all began

My Story

Movement was always my language, long before I understood why. Dance. Yoga. Walking. Being outside. Time in nature. It was how I processed life, how I came back to myself after hard seasons. My body was never something I fought. It was somewhere I returned.

Then motherhood cracked everything open.

Not because it ruined me. Because it revealed me. The hormones, the sleep deprivation, the identity shift, the body that did not feel like mine anymore. Grief colliding with new motherhood. Feeling reactive, overwhelmed, and completely disconnected from the woman I used to be. I looked at photos of myself and did not recognize her. Not because of how I looked. Because my light was gone.

The moment that changed everything was quiet. I realized I did not want survival mode to be the version of motherhood my boys remembered. I wanted them to know my joy, my playfulness, my peace. I wanted to be present in a way that felt genuine rather than forced.

So I started small. Walking. Breathing differently. Rebuilding strength with intention. Learning about my pelvic floor, my posture, my nervous system. None of it changed my life overnight. But together those tiny decisions slowly rebuilt me from the inside out.

During this time I was also juggling part time hair work, my husband Darren's shift work schedule, volunteering, and being a full time mom through a big renovation where we lived in our holiday trailer for months. When the privilege of being home full time came, I quietly started building North Wind Wellness. Not from theory. From the map I had spent years drawing myself.

In January 2026 I sold my first offer and sold out my first group. Over a dozen women have now walked through the Core to Soul Project. And every single one of them reminded me why this work matters.

Not starting over. Rebuilding from experience, wisdom, and inner strength.

My background

The Experience Behind the Work

Certified Postnatal Fitness Specialist

Certified since 2023, with a focus on deep core and pelvic floor rehabilitation, breathwork, and progressive postpartum movement. More than the certification though, I bring the lived experience of two very different postpartum journeys and the years I spent finding my way back to myself through the exact tools I now teach.

I first enrolled in the certification in 2021. Life had other plans. I came back and completed it in 2023 because I knew this work mattered too much to set down.

18 Years Inside the Salon

I started as a shampoo girl at 15 and spent 18 years in the salon world, eventually becoming a Red Seal hairstylist. What looked like hair appointments were really conversations about marriages, confidence, motherhood, dreams, heartbreak, and identity.

Without realizing it, I spent almost two decades learning how women carry invisible weight. Those skills never left me. They just deepened into something more.

Community and Personal Development

Alongside my hair career I spent years inside health and wellness communities. I loved the personal development disguised as connection, the sisterhood, and the way women showed up for each other in ways that genuinely changed lives.

That community energy is the foundation of everything I build at North Wind Wellness. This was never just about fitness. It was always about women remembering themselves.

Built From Lived Experience

I built North Wind Wellness while raising two boys, navigating renovations, shift work schedules, and some of the hardest seasons of my life. This is not a business I built from the outside looking in.

It is the resource I needed most. And I built it anyway, for every woman who has ever needed it too.

Like the northern wind itself, strong, steady, and full of life, you carry a force within you that is both resilient and graceful. North Wind Wellness is here to help you awaken that force.
Why I do this work

My Mission

Helping You Reconnect, Rebuild and Rise Strong

North Wind Wellness exists to guide moms like you, the ones holding it all together while silently wondering when it is your turn to feel whole again.

I do not teach women how to become perfect. I teach them how to come back to themselves. Again and again and again. Because becoming the future version of yourself is not one giant courageous decision. It is hundreds of tiny choices made on ordinary Tuesdays.

This is your invitation to rebuild from the inside out, not to bounce back to who you were, but to rise into who you are becoming.

How I Believe Healing Works

Go slow to go strong. Healing happens when you move with intention, not intensity.

Let breath lead. Every movement starts with a breath. Your breath is your anchor.

Adjust to your season. Skip, pause, repeat, whatever your body needs, trust it.

Tend your own fire. When your fire is burning steadily, you have warmth to share with everyone else. When all that is left are embers, eventually everyone feels the cold. Including you.

Celebrate everything. Every walk, every breath, every rep is a brick in your foundation.
